It wasn’t quite Extreme Make-over, but this week the Creative Space finally got its’ new furniture. When we launched initially we were simply using the old Freelance furniture, the old L-shaped desks from back in the day when computer monitors were the size of small cars.
We’d worked with students from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen and also with furniture specialists Clairmont to design a new layout for the space that would add to the already vibrant feel of the room. The end result has been brilliantly received by our users and staff alike. You can watch a time lapse video of the installation produced by Cre8ive Media .
So what, exactly, happens in the Creative Space? Well, every day is different. Our users include designers, photographers, IT consultants, health & safety advisors, to name just a few. We’ve also got a couple of very cool startups, as part of our incubator service. Not only to they get work space, they’ve also got support from Freelance World & RGU to help guide them through those early days. What’s more they can access funding via our investment fund and crowd-sourcing partners.
If you want to find out more about the Creative Space then either drop in and say hi, or send us an email or tweet and we’ll be happy to help!
